Car sharing goes to the masses

Car sharing service gets unprecedented popularity in Europe and the world. There are many formats of the car sharing, which we will talk about in the context of another publication, but it is even interesting that some retail chains already launch joint projects of car sharing near their stores.

The IKEA company, officially announced that, in conjunction with Renault Mobility, launches a car sharing service near its stores in Paris (yes, only France so far). The service should solve the consumers' need to transport purchases from the store to their homes, the application is already running and the cars are ready.

The first cars will appear in Paris, because there are 33 IKEA shopping centers, which serve about 55 million customers annually. There will be cars with internal combustion engines and electric cars, until 2020 the entire car park will be exclusively electric.

It is planned to provide about 300 cars, the tariff will be 7 euros for 1 hour of the car sharing, including 100 km of run.

Car sharing becomes not just a city transport, but a means of transportation of cargo.
